APSE Committees

Chapter Development Committee

The Chapter Development Committee helps create new APSE state chapters, develop and support the growth and activities of existing chapters, and increase chapter membership.

Conference and Training Committee

The Conference and Training Committee supports APSE’s national conference and other APSE related training activities through: a) providing assistance with the annual conference together with the national office and local conference team; b) supporting and expanding APSE training offerings on Employment First and integrated employment such as webinars, regional trainings.

Public Policy Committee

This committee monitors federal & state policy developments (legislation, public polices), and advocates to advance Employment First and integrated employment. Specific activities include: development of member Action Alerts; outreach and meetings with legislators & policymakers; development of APSE policy statements & papers; supporting members & chapters in public policy efforts.

Research Committee

The purpose of this committee is to conduct thoughtful and rigorous research investigations in response to issues impacting employment for people with disabilities and translate those findings into useable information and resources that influence policy, practice, and outcomes.

Students for APSE Committee

Students for APSE is designed to teach students (with and without disabilities) and educators the importance of working in the community.  The goal of this committee is build Students for APSE nationally and to have Students for APSE in every state.
