Examination Application and Scheduling
Eligibility Application Process
Registration for an exam session is open to all employment support professionals who meet the eligibility criteria. Testing is available at PSI testing sites nationwide during each testing window.
Your examination fee and application are only good for the examination window in which you applied.
|Testing Window||Application Window|
|April 2020 Testing Postponed|
|June 1-30, 2020||Open through May 26, 2020|
|August 3-14, 2020||June 29-July 27, 2020|
Certification candidates must submit their Eligibility Application and be approved before taking the CESP™ examination (click to go to application).
The application will request eligibility documentation and payment ($199 per examination attempt).
The testing windows are the dates during which the exams are administered. You must apply for the desired testing window during the corresponding application window.
Scheduling Your Examination
Before you can schedule your exam, you must submit your CESP™ eligibility application and be approved through the APSE Apply system. Click here to go to the application.
Candidates that are approved during the eligibility review process will receive instructions to schedule your examination.
Use the link below to plan your test schedule. The available test dates and time are displayed in real-time.
Test center availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. APSE and PSI do not guarantee the availability of your preferred testing date, time, or testing center. A PDF version of a map lists testing locations, although it is subject to change. Click here for PDF map.
The ESPCC offers a wide variety of accommodations to those individuals with a documented disability.
If you are a candidate looking to request an accommodation, the form is included in the application when you apply for the exam. More about the accommodation request process is in the Candidate Handbook.
Recertification by Examination
Current CESP™ certified professionals are not required to provide proof of eligibility at the time of application, provided your examination will occur before the grace period (end of the month after your expiration date).
After that time, applicants would need to provide documentation required to show candidate eligibility.
Eligibility Review Process
Once your application has been submitted, the review timeline is followed. See below for more information.
|Application Submitted||Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email through your APSE Apply Survey Monkey account. Your full application documenting all eligibility requirements must be submitted by the application deadline for you to sit for the examination window.|
|Initial Review by ESPCC for Eligibility||You will receive notice of your eligibility via email within 3 business days of successful application submission. Please note that applications submitted within three business days of the window closing will be denied if missing key eligibility information.|
|Application is Pending||Should your application be marked pending, you have required action that is due by the application deadline. If additional documentation is required to document eligibility, details will be provided via email and you will need to resubmit with additional information before the application window has closed.|
|Receive "Approved" Notice via email||If approved*, candidates will receive a scheduling email from testing vendor PSI within 3 business days of approval. This email will include all scheduling links and instructions. When registering, pick the location, day, and time most convenient for you.
If you have been approved by the ESPCC but have not received the scheduling email or if the name on the scheduling email does not exactly match the name on your government-issued identification, contact us before the application window closes (email@example.com).
*Approved candidates are those who meet the eligibility requirements, complete the candidate application, and pay the $199 examination fee by the application deadline.
