In celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, join us for a FREE webinar to all! We should embrace our intersections and honor our differences. We can accomplish this by identifying ways to celebrate differences between communities and how intersections impact us and the people we may support at work. The points this presentation will seek to highlight:
- Defining concepts of compounded microaggressions and intersectionality, specifically as they relate to disability, neurodivergence, transness, and queerness.
- Discussing the presenter’s firsthand lived experiences as working professionals and highlighting the experiences of other disabled, neurodivergent, trans, BIPOC, and queer folks.
- Describing how support personnel can advocate for disability, neurodiversity, AND LGBT acceptance within their employment support processes.
Presenter: Merry Reid Sheffer, Julian Adam
