Focus Groups on Employment Related Soft Skills for Transition Age Youth with Disabilities

Work-related soft skills can be an important factor for successful employment outcomes, particularly for individuals with disabilities. This study conducted two focus groups with stakeholders for two state Rehabilitation Councils to identify the needs of specific work-related soft skills for employment success of transition-agehttps://apse.site-ym.com/event/webinar-may-24 youth with disabilities.
Participants will:
1. learn about the State Rehabilitation Councils and their role in state-wide disability services
2. learn about employment-related soft skills.
3. gain knowledge about a focus group study that utilized two state rehabilitation councils as "experts" on soft skills needed by youth with disabilities to gain and retain employment.
4. Learn about the results of qualitative data analysis of soft skills identified by focus group participants, as being necessary for youth with disabilities seeking employment.
