Subminimum Wage Hearing in Oregon

On Thursday, February 21, 2019, members of the Oregon Self Advocacy Coalition (OSAC) – including APSE National Board Member, Ross Ryan – testified before the State Legislature in support of SB 494 to phase out subminimum wages for Oregonians with disabilities. OSAC’s Executive Director Gabrielle Guedon stated, “We believe subminimum wages are discriminatory and keep people with disabilities in poverty.”
